Final Video

I did my final video story about how sports and music so influential to people. I spent a few days interviewing a few friends of mine who share the common interests of sports and music. My idea was to capture the things that they had around their rooms as a means to show who that person is and some of their interest. In my opinion having posters and things hanging up on our walls is a huge deal it something we love so much that we feel the need to display it to anyone who decides to come into our home’s, rooms. e.t.c. After finding the topic I wanted to do I began interviewing some friends to have them speak about why they had posters up on their walls and what they mean to them. After doing this I took videos of all of the walls that they had them on display. I then imported all the necessary footage into premier and began editing my video. It was pretty simple in the beginning but I did encounter a few issues. Some of my videos would drop frame rates in the middle of the clip. This was throwing off all of my audio also. So I had to redo all of my previous work to correct the mistake. After I fixed the problem I began ordering my clips and adding transitions between them. Another struggle I had was the timing of the video because all of my clips weren’t exact numbers but after some shaving down of a few clips I got it to be the two minutes I wanted.

Final Audio Story

For my audio story I decided to speak on the issue pertaining to sports and political issues. It has been a hot topic recently and I have strong feelings about it also. I interviewed two friends of mine and also added a conclusion of my self speaking. I recored my interviews using voice memos on my phone. The audio was quite loud in the beginning and I used the volume slider on the track to quite the audio to make it more appealing in my opinion. In m final story I intend to add music and maybe interview a few more people to make more story more coherent and add differing opinions on the topic. I believe that adding conflicting opinions would help the story overall and hep others decide for themselves where they stand instead of force feeding them people who think like me. I also want to expand on my questions and maybe make them deeper or have my subjects for the interview expand on their thoughts more than I did previously. I am really looking forward to the peer reviews so they can give me feedback that I may have missed. I think multiple sets of ears will be extremely important to improve on the my story as a whole.

In my final audio story I interviewed an additional person and changed my conclusion at the end of my story. I also added an instrumental to play in the background throughout the story. Adding the instrumental had its challenges because I had to make the the music flow with the people speaking and I think I did that fairly well. I think this version of my story is more fleshed out and is better as a whole and I appreciate all who listen.

Final Logo

Untitled-3

In my logo draft I decided to change my entire logo around to something that was more appealing in my opinion. I still wanted to keep my logo fairly simple but more interesting which I think was accomplished. For the music note I used the line tool for the main part but realized that I would need a more flexible tool to elongate the top part of the note. The arc tool seemed to be the most appropriate. For the bottom portion of the music note, I added an ellipse and filled it in, using the fill tool, with black to get an all around solid shape.  For the plus sign, I kept it simple once again by simply using the line tool, however ensuring that it was thick enough hence I adjusted the point value of it. I used the ellipse tool for the second time for the basketball and needed to add the detail inside the ball so ignorer to get the effect I needed I decided that the arc tool would be appropriate to use. I used a vivid orange to fill the basketball in order to help my logo stand out. For the font, I spent quite a lot of time contemplating how complex or simple I wanted it to be. Initially I had a more elaborative font however I ended up going with a more simplistic font. I put the name of my blog right on top, while still making sure that my tagline resonated with my audience. I figured the more I incorporated the tagline, the  more memorable it would be. Ultimately, I intended for the overall logo to fall into the shape of a mixtape which is something I intend to render and enhance once completing my final draft.

My final logo I expanded the idea of my of using a mixtape as the main focal point and I think it turned out pretty good. I googled a few pictures just to get the shape in my brain and went to work using the rounded-rectangle tool along with the rectangle and ellipse tool. I used some elements from my draft logo which are located on the bottom of the tape.
